Located in Seminole, the Suncoast
Seabird Santuary Warehouse
murals were a beautification effort
to resurrect the exterior of the
warehouse that had fallen into
disrepair. I was called on to add a
graphic foliage mural to the
recently painted building.
The warehouse is over 70' long.
Tropical foliage over twelve feet in
height boarders each of the brick
pillars along the wall. The
Sanctuary wanted a mural theme in
keeping with their image of wildlife
and nature, without creating
confusion with their main location
in Indian Shores. This is why we
added no birds to the art.

In addition to my private work, I have been a contract artist with the Youth Arts
Corp. of Pinellas County, FL. I believe contributing to my local community in this
way is an important requirement in operating a socially responsible business.
Working with kids requires not only a big heart and a genuine desire to help
improve the lives of young people, but extensive background checks to make
sure they are safe. I have passed all requirements to work with youth in Pinellas
County.
Youth Arts Corps is a program of Family Resources, Inc. Funding is provided by
the Juvenile Welfare Board, City of St. Petersburg, Pinellas County Board of
Commissioners, Pinellas County Arts Council, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office
and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Youth Arts Corps is a youth development, arts education and job training
program that uses the fine arts to help youth reach their potential. The Corps
offers three after-school and summer arts education programs, provides arts
activities at a number of residential, recreational and juvenile justice facilities in
Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee counties, and offers training and technical
assistance in youth arts program development and implementation. All arts
workshops are taught by professional artists.
There are no fees for this service.

effort over several months. After several weeks of classroom instruction and practice,
the students designed and produced this great project! We finished the mural in May
2009.
